thinking, writing, learning

and now, pause for a moment of “Oh Yeah”

March 25, 2009 ·

I was watching one of our seniors practice for her senior exhibit presentation yesterday…and she said:  "The blogs have been really helpful for keeping track of my senior project. And my mom loves that when she googles my name now, my senior exhibit "Recipes for Peace" comes up and not Facebook."
Ding, ding, ding,…….

Don’t you love those moments! I had one when I found a biology Ning and blogged about it, then students from the Ning commented on my post, reflecting on their learning.

It is wonderful when our students go beyond the superficial and find that they can control the depth and breadth of their learning. I also feel the same way about how your postings, our many conversations, and your willingness to share has stretched my view of how teachers can enhance the learning experience.
    Well done!

What a nice thing to say, Hiram. Thanks. We are all learning together, and the more we help our students do the same, the more success we will all have. My PLN rocks!

Wow. Now *that’s* what I call rocking the house. Congratulations to the entire learning community. Wonderful!

Thanks, Gardner. You know our journey, don’t you? I hope you are well. So glad we can stay connected this way.

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end.
