Working from home means spending more time on the computer.
It also means spending more money: a huge monitor, a fancy, shmancy office chair, and bifocals. Ok, getting old. What can I say?
But it also means I am much more likely to donate money to a worthy cause if donating means clicking a button. Not one to mail in checks to random people or causes, I am much more likely to use PayPal or the site’s “click here” button to send off a donation to someone or something I’ve read about online.
A recent Pew report discusses how young people are not only donating more, they are using their mobile devices to do it. This post onĀ The Nieman Journalism Lab site puts the story in context. It’s a fascinating look into how social media is changing even the world of the nonprofits.
